Quality products start with quality materials.
STEEL
We only use New Zealand or Australian made quality steel when possible.
All Ascot wire supports are made from pre-galvanised steel which guarantees a rust free product.
Ascot welded products , like the standard rose stakes , are welded and then hot dipped galvanised, again this ensure a rust free product which will give you a lifetime of use.
The coloured products are usually powder-coated rather than just painted but always galvanised first, again to ensure no rust bubbling up under the paint.
Please remember galvanised steel always looses it's bright finish with age.
PAINT
Ascot only uses quality Dulux or Resene powder-coat and painting systems on our products.
We are proud of the quality of the finish on all our products.
WOOD
The wooden handles on all the Ascot tools are made from NZ native Beech.
The Beech which is similar to maple is harvested from sustainable forests with full FSC certification (forestry stewardship council , an internationaly recognised certification process).
We use Beech because it lasts and lasts and it has a 'lovely feel'.
This also applies to envirostake hardwood stakes.
Ascot uses no chemicals treat any wood products.
